Private event for 2024 Harvard Ukrainian Summer Institute (HUSI) students.
HUSI students and instructors are invited to a casual reception to mark the opening of the summer term. Refreshments will be provided.
The reception will take place alongside a special exhibition of photography and letters that was curated but one of HURI’s current Research Fellows, Alex Averbuch, while he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Davis Center: “Our Life Behind Barbed Wire: Photography from Ukrainian Ostarbeiters in Nazi Germany.” The exhibition was organized by the Davis Center and co-sponsored by HURI. Dr. Averbuch will give HUSI students a short introduction to the exhibit, which closes on July 1, 2024. Learn more about the exhibition and project here: Part 1 and Part 2
