Ganna Chepurda
Ganna Chepurda (October 21, 1982, Kyiv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian historian and public figure, doctor of historical sciences, professor of Cherkasy State Technological University. Ganna is an author of documentary books in the history of Ukraine, author (co-author) of more than 100 printed works in history, ethnic and cultural tourism. Since 2019 – Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Journal at Cherkasy State Technological University. Ganna Chepurda is a constant mass media and TV shows participator (history/tourism issues). She pays considerable attention to spreading knowledge about the history of Cherkasy region and the history of Ukraine as a whole. She regularly appears on the pages of the Ukrainian and regional press, participates in regional, all-Ukrainian, international scientific conferences, symposia, historical readings, thematic programs on radio and television. Non-academic work is organizing and holding ethnic festivals aimed at national culture, customs and traditions promotion. Ganna have developed a number of historical tourist routes to promote the historical heritage of Cherkasy region. Ganna Chepurda was one of the first in Ukrainian historical science to start researching the implementation of the Great Plan of Nature Transformation (1948-1965) in Ukraine, its economic, cultural and ecological consequences.
