Antin Ivanovych Podufalyi was born on August 3, 1896 in Komarivtsi, Mohyliv county, Podilla gubernia. He studied electro-technology at the Kyiv Politechnical Institute. Podufalyi served the Ukrainian National Republic as an engineer for the 2nd Division of the Sich Riflemen Regiment and as an ensign in the Ivan Mazepa Cavalry Regiment. He immigrated to France circa 1923-1924. The papers are comprised of certificates issued by the Ukrainian National Republic, Poland and France to Podufalyi. They provide general biographical information regarding his birth, education, and military service.
