 Oksana Mikheieva is Professor in the Department of Sociology of Management at Donetsk State University of Management. She received her candidate of historical sciences degree (2000) and her doctor of historical sciences degree (2012) from the National University of Donetsk. Her research interests include the criminality of Ukraine in the 1920s, the establishment and functioning of law enforcement agencies of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (1921‒1928), and social communications and cultural motivations in transitional historical periods. While at HURI, Professor Mikheieva will research the “Red” Donbas: Between Myths and Reality (1919‒1929).”
