DESCRIPTION:<h3>Dr. Emily Channell-Justice will lead a gallery talk for HUSI students of Davyd Chychkan's work</h3><p><span>“With Ribbons and Flags” is the last project by Ukrainian artist and activist </span><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Chichkan" data-entity-type="external"><span><strong>Davyd Chychkan</strong></span></a><span> (1986-2025). He created this graphic series in 2022-2024, before volunteering to fight on the frontline himself. You can learn more about the exhibition </span><a href="https://www.huri.harvard.edu/event/art-exhibit-davyd-chychkan-ribbons-and-flags-2022-2024"><span>here</span></a><span>.</span></p><p><span>Organized and hosted by </span><a href="https://www.huri.harvard.edu/people/emily-channell-justice">Emily Channell-Justice</a><span>, Director of the </span><a href="https://www.huri.harvard.edu/temerty-contemporary-ukraine-program"><span>Temerty Contemporary Ukraine Program</span></a><span> at HURI, and friend of the artist.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>The group will meet in the CGIS-South Concourse and begin the tour by viewing a short film about the work.</span></p><h4><em><span>This is a private event for Harvard Ukrainian Summer Institute (HUSI) students, faculty, and staff.</span></em></h4><hr><h6>Questions?
