Of the more than eight million people currently staying outside of Ukraine, most are women and one-third are children. This talk will focus on the question of education in the context of displacement, looking specifically at the challenges and conditions that emerge in the very first months after arrival. The educational situation of children is of utmost importance for the social integration of both parents and children and, alongside the labor market integration of parents, a crucial factor in understanding how Ukrainians think about their future.

	About the Speaker

<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="7af16cd3-a3f1-4b4b-979e-db0d2284a3bc" data-align="left" alt="Felix Krawatzek headshot" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media>Félix Krawatzek is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS) in Berlin where he leads the research cluster “Youth and Generational Change”.
