This presentation by [Nadia Kaneva](https://daviscenter.fas.harvard.edu/about/people/nadia-kaneva), moderated by [Nana Gongadze](https://daviscenter.fas.harvard.edu/about/people/nana-gongadze), will discuss how Ukraine has used nation-branding techniques to engage global publics through promotion and consumption. The analysis will outline three dimensions – consumer choice, identity projects, and transactional practices – which distinguish how contemporary promotion interpellates publics differently from traditional wartime propaganda.
