Please join the former President of Poland, [Lech Wałęsa](https://daviscenter.fas.harvard.edu/about/people/lech-walesa), hosted by Davis Center Director [Grzegorz Ekiert](https://daviscenter.fas.harvard.edu/about/people/grzegorz-ekiert), for a conversation on why change cannot come while Russia continues to act as an empire with expansionist goals. The 1983 Nobel Peace Prize laureate welcomes strong democratic opposition within Russia supporting Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity.
