To be admitted to the program applicants must be at least nineteen years of age or have completed one year of college. Exceptional high school students may be considered through Harvard's Summer School Secondary School Program. Admission is based on the applicant's academic record, a letter of recommendation, and an essay.

Application Deadlines for HUSI 2008:
Please note that for all scholarship, financial aid, and F-1 visa requests the deadline has been extended from Friday, February 29, 2008 to Friday, March 14, 2008 . The deadline for all other applications – Friday, May 23, 2008.
